Anne Pearl Morrison-Fain, affectionately known as Annie Pearl, was born in Abbeville, Alabama, to the proud parents of Charlie Lee and Pearl Mae Morrison, on August 15, 1937.
In Annie Pearl’s formidable growing up years, she worked as a domestic during the summer months. She was a member of St. John AME Methodist Church. Annie Pearl graduated from Henry County Training School in 1955. She then attended Alabama State College for one year and left Alabama in 1956 to reside in New Jersey seeking a better life.
The same year of leaving Alabama, she met and married Clarence Thomas and divorced him a few years later. In 1960 she met and married Charles Fain.
For numerous years (while living in New Jersey, Connecticut, New York and Illinois), she was a factory worker and worked retail until March of 2020.
Preceding her in death was her first husband, Clarence Thomas, and second husband, Charles Fain; siblings, Charlie Lee Morrison Jr, Alto Lee, Lawrence, Joe Louis, and Laura Jane.
She leaves precious memories to daughters, Patricia Thomas of Costa Mesa, CA, Sherry Thomas of Northeast Nigeria; siblings, William Henry (Mary) Morrison of Aurora, CO, James Albert (Wanda) Morrison of Ewing, NJ; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
