Sister Annie Ruth Anglin was born on October 15, 1934 to Marie and T.C. Turner. She was born and raised in Clayton, Alabama, the oldest of four children. She was called to her eternal home on June 14, 2023 with her kids by her side.
She attended the Barbour County Public Schools. At an early age she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at the Old Mt. Silla Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board and Missionary. Also, she was a member of Bright Crown Chapter #220 Order of Eastern Star in Clayton, Alabama. She joined the Chapter April 16, 1970 and served faithfully as The Conductress.
Annie went to work for Van Heusen of Clayton, Alabama where she retired. She then started sitting with the elderly and helping them out on her free time. She also loved fishing with friends and quilting.
Annie was joined in holy matrimony to the late Pryer Anglin, Jr. on July 14, 1951 and to this union six children were born.
In addition to her parents, Marie and T.C. Turner, she was preceded in death by her husband Pryer Anglin, Jr, son Marshall Anglin, daughter Dorothy Anglin Lluvera, sister Earnestine Davis and two brothers Eddie and Arthur Turner, grandmother Josie Daniels, one grandson Brandon Anglin, and her aunts and uncles.
Annie leaves cherished memories to her devoted sons, Robert (Jeanette) Anglin of Eufaula, AL, Wendell (Starr) Anglin of Ozark, AL, James Anglin of Virginia; a wonderful daughter, Linda Anglin of Ozark, AL; one sister, Rebecca (Johnny) Johnson of Tampa, FL; sister-in-law, Willean Anglin of Detroit, MI; brother-in-law, Sonny Shine of New York; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and friends; son-in-law, John Lluvera and special friend, Dr. Trevor Rose.
