Annie McMullen Obituary

Minister Annie Pearl McMullen was born August 3rd, 1943 in Eufaula, AL to the late Johnnie Everheart and Elizabeth Jones Tate.


Minister Annie McMullen was united in Holy Matrimony to James Porter McMullen. To this union, three children were born: two sons, James Matthew McMullen and Kendrick McMullen, one daughter, Kimberly McMullen. Minister Annie McMullen also cherished and loved two bonus sons, Theodore McMullen and Dwight Taylor.


Minister Annie McMullen was adorned with many names. She was called “Susie Mae” by her family, “Auntie Pearl” by most, and “Ludie Bell” affectionately by her nephews, Bernard and Michael. She  enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, and traveling on vacation. Most of all she loved praising God, preaching the Word, and spending time with her family. Minister McMullen had the gift of unity and  bringing everyone together.


At an early age, Minister McMullen confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined the First Born Church of Eufaula, Alabama where she was a dedicated member. After marrying, Minister McMullen moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She became a member of New Home Church of God in Christ, where she served faithfully as a Missionary for several years. The gift of ministry was very evident in Minister McMullen. Upon her relocation to Eufaula, Minister McMullen rejoined the First Born Church of Eufaula. During this time, she accepted her calling to preach the Word of God, and was ordained in the body of Christ as a minister. Minister McMullen a mother, mentor, confidant, prayer warrior, and intercessor to many.

 

On February 27th, 2023, God called his servant home. “For your work is done and you can rest now.”


Minister McMullen was preceded in death by her father Johnnie Everheart, her parents John Willis and Elizabeth Jones Tate, two brothers Theodore Smith and Matthew Everheart, one sister Pastor Annie Maude Tate Lewis, one son James Matthew McMullen, and one granddaughter Rubey Michelle McMullen.

 

She leaves to cherish her memory: a loving daughter Kimberly McMullen of Eufaula, AL, a loving son Kendrick (Brandie) McMullen of Northport, AL, and two bonus sons Theodore (Patricia) McMullen of Tuscaloosa, AL and Dwight Taylor of Mississippi/Tennessee, Four sisters: Lucille Jackson of Columbus, GA, Mary (Tellis) Ryles of Eufaula, AL, Bertha Tate of Montgomery, AL, Linda Everheart of Birmingham, AL, Four brothers: Nathaniel “Buster” Tate, Sammie Lee “Sam” Tate, Phillip Tate all of Rochester, NY, and Sylvester (Ethyl) Tate of Fort Mitchell, AL, Seven grandchildren: Raynard,        Loraine, Quentin, Nicole, Braelyn, Joshua, and Kaleb, Three great grandchildren: Jonbarri, Jazzalyn, and Cole, One godsister: Annie Louise White, Three goddaughters: Jackie Marshall, Esther “Sha” White, and Kyndra Rushing, One godson: Dylan Rushing, Two special friends: Mother Annie Dennis and Sister Carolyn Richardson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
