The Lord called Barbara Ann Avery from legend to legacy peacefully Thursday August 17th,2023 in Birmingham AL at UAB Hospital. Our Angel Barbara Ann was born on June 5, 1967, to the Late Jessie Avery Jr. & Fannie Mae Avery of Eufaula Al.
She was the youngest of two children. She grew up on “Western Heights/ The Hill “in the city of Eufaula. She Attended school in the Eufaula City school district. She had a love for cooking at an early age and was a part of the home economics 4H club. She never gave birth to any children, but she nurtured so many hearts and minds as her own. Oh, did she love to shop. She was a fashionista for big girls. You would often find her in Cato’s, Victoria Secrets, Lane Bryant, Bath & Body Works just to name a few. She was sure to get her retail therapy monthly. A testament to who she was, she was sure to always think of others and grab you the thing that she knew would make you smile. More than anything she had a fine sense of humor and what came up surely came out. She was boldly vocal and a ball of fun. We will miss her immensely.
She leaves to cherish a loving husband William Franklin of Dothan Al, one brother Walter Reeves of Auburn, Alabama; Sisters Charlene (Dedric) Davis of Lithia Springs, Georgia Stephanie (Arthur) Johnson of Eufaula, Alabama ,Amayia “ Mimi” Smith (Henry) of Atlanta Georgia ;A very special godson Kourven Reeves, a host of nephews and nieces. She leaves fond memories with special friends for decades. She never met a stranger and will always be known as one who loved unconditionally, genuinely, and would offer her last to you. And last her house was always your home.
