Beatrice Glanton Walker, affectionately referred to as “Granny Bea”, “Aunt Bea” and “Ma Bea”, was born on March 16, 1931 to the late Jesse and Trudy Glanton in Clopton, Alabama, but was raised by the late Tony and Priss McGlown.

Beatrice was a lover of Christ and was a faithful and active member until her transitioning. She was known in the community for having “endless pots” because she would cook enough to feed a village. Beatrice was a woman who loved her family and genuinely welcomed any and every one who entered her home. Her favorite season was Spring because it allowed her to enjoy God’s beautiful creations especially her flowers.
She took her rest and received her wings in the most peaceful and graceful way on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at home surrounded by the presence of God and her loving family just how she would have wanted.
