Classie Whigham, age 76, of Clayton, Alabama, was born December 25, 1949, and passed away February 10, 2026. She was a strong and devoted woman whose life reflected faith, service, and love for her family.
She was known for her strong will and dedication to helping others. Classie loved attending church and, in her earlier years, worked as a caregiver, offering compassion and support to those in need.
She is survived by her only biological child, Annie Baxter, and her three foster daughters, Niesha Gulledge, Tiesha Gulledge, and Qynesha Gulledge; her grandchildren, Marquita Walker and Bruce Baxter; her great-grandson, Tobias Carey; her two sisters, Jennie Walker and Willie Mae Allen; her three brothers, Joe Walker, Charles Allen, and Benny Curry; a host of nieces and nephews; and a long, close, cherished friend, Charlie Frank Whigham.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Eva Mae Allen; her father, Olen Rumph; and two of her brothers, L.C. Bobbins and Bubba Walker.
