Diana M. Duckworth was born on January 22, 1954. She was born to the late Elvina and Matthew Madison of Natchitoches, Louisiana.
She was a faithful member of The Holy Tabernacle of Jesus Christ, where she found strength in her faith and shared her kindness with all who knew her. Her unwavering love and devotion to her family was evident in everything she did.
Diana’s home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the aroma of her delicious home-cooked meals. She had a heart of gold and a giving spirit, always extending a helping hand to those in need, (especially during her seventeen years as Clerk for the town of Clayton, Alabama Water and Sewer Board). Her wisdom, strength, courage and love will continue to guide her family and friends for generations to come.
Diana peacefully passed away at her home in Clayton, Alabama on February 15th, 2026. A lifelong resident of Clayton, Diana was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a cherished member of her community.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Matthew and Elvina Madison; five brothers; three loving sons, Perry, Nora, and Chris Duckworth; and a loving son-in-law, Gerald J. Mosley, Sr.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her loving husband, Elmo Duckworth Sr; her remaining children, James Hooper, III (Brenda), Rebecca Howard (Juan), Felicia Mosley, Larry Wilson, and Elmo Duckworth, Jr (Bridget); two sisters, Mattie Meullion (Jimmy), Linda Labom (Charles); two brothers, Michael Madison, and Freddie; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and two special friends, Tony Dinkens and Anita Fenn.
