Dianne Johnson Covin was born on November 2,1948 in Eufaula, Alabama, to Mrs. Gertrude Hamilton and Mr. Will Johnson. She was the youngest of three children. She was united in marriage to the late Joe Covin. Dianne accepted Christ at an early age and joined First African Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Mount Level Baptist Church, Eufaula, Alabama where she served on the Usher Board. Dianne attended Eufaula City Schools and graduated from T. V. McCoo High School in 1966. Upon graduation, Dianne moved to Newark, New Jersey where she began her work career. After moving back to Eufaula, Alabama, she worked at Columbus Mill, Eufaula City Schools, B. C. Moores and RSVP. Dianne was an active member of “Club Diamonds” and “Club Elite”, where she served as treasurer. She was a kind, loving and giving person who loved her family, friends, her community, and most of all she loved the Lord. Dianne was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Hamilton, father, Will Johnson, sister, Geraldine Anthony, and a brother-n-law, Ivory Vann Thomas, Sr. Dianne leaves to cherish her memories: Three sons, Cedric (Samantha) Johnson, Wichita, Kansas, Kenyatta Johnson, Eufaula, Alabama and Jolan Covin, Eufaula, Alabama; One sister, Emogene Thomas, Eufaula, Alabama; One brother, Ralph Sanders, Atlanta, Georgia; Fifteen grandchildren, Demetrius Johnson, Cedric Rashad Johnson, Cordarius Johnson, Khiana Johnson, Jada Covin, Jaliyah Billings, Kenya Johnson, Journi Covin, Ja’Lani Billings, Kenyatta Johnson, Jr., Taniyah Grubbs, AiYonna Grubbs, Audri Otero, Ahna Otero, and Drew Otero; Four nieces, Glenda Sanders, Dothan, Alabama, Nerissa (Michael) Pierce, Huntsville, Alabama, Estella Lokey, Midland, Georgia, April Brooks, Richmond, Virginia; One nephew, Ivory Vann Thomas, Jr., Eufaula, Alabama; a host of cousins, other relatives and many, many special friends who loved her dearly. She will truly be missed
