Eric Jermaine Nelson

Eric Jermaine Nelson was born on February 15, 1980 to the late Henry Lee Nelson and Mary Louise Nelson. A brother, Kendrick Lee Nelson, preceded him in death. He departed his life on June 20, 2026 at UAB in Birmingham, Alabama.

He confessed his faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Mt Moriah Baptist Church. Eric loved family and having family gatherings. He will be remembered by his loving smile and his generosity for everyone.

Eric was a very passionate, dedicated worker, who spent many years working with Eufaula Pulpwood. His exceptional work ethics led him to his position as Foreman over Crew 7. 

He leaves to cherish his memories and lament his passing two daughters, Niqwayja Nelson of Opelika, AL, Bri’Yanna Nelson of Eufaula, AL; two sons, Ziquayvion Nelson of Fort Campbell, KY, Zimaine Nelson of Clayton, AL; a loving and devoted mother, Mary Nelson of Clayton, AL; three brothers, Michael (Shameka) Nelson of Eufaula, AL, Derrick (Latoria) Nelson of Dothan, AL, Andre Nelson of Clayton AL; a grandmother, Mattie Gilbert of Clayton, AL; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends; special friends and family, Cherry Davis, Tyjha Thomas, Kaveyun Thomas all of Headland, AL; god-sister, Katisha Ivey of Eufaula, AL; god-brother, Robert Marshall of Clayton, AL; a special friend of the family, Katie Bell Herring.
