Freddie Knox II Obituary

Mr. Freddie H. Knox, II, the eldest child of Callie P. Williams Knox and the late Freddie H. Knox, Sr., was born January 7, 1971, in Montgomery, Alabama.

Mr. Knox was a 1990 graduate of Charles Henderson High School in Troy, AL. He furthered his education by attending Alabama State University, Atlanta Technical College and Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Services.

Freddie was a former employee of All My Children Academy in Deerfield Beach, FL, owned and operated by his god-mother Patricia W. Thompson, as well as Carter Brothers Manufacturing Co., in Brundidge, AL. He was a valued employee at Wiley Sanders Trucking Co for over 20 years until his sudden illness.

In his early adult years, Freddie was an active parishioner at Greater St. Paul AME and served with the transportation ministry, shuttling members to and from worship services. Before his passing, Freddie rededicated his life to Jesus Christ and accepted Him as Lord and Savior.

Freddie loved to travel, visiting numerous locations across the southeastern United States. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan. ROLL TIDE!

He was also a dedicated son, visiting with his mother weekly, assisting with her care and often cooking her meals, until his health began to fail. In the early morning hours of Sunday, January 18, 2026, Freddie departed this life and entered into eternal rest.

Freddie leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother, Callie P. Williams Knox of Eufaula, AL; brothers Alford Smith of Columbus, OH and Byron C. (LeeAnn) Knox of Charlotte, NC; and sister LaPezra Smith of Escondido, CA. Six maternal aunts: Sallie W. (Winston) Bell, Mary W. Carter, Ernestine Rodriguez, Ann W. Walton, Fay W. (Zachary, Sr.) Gates, devoted god-mother Patricia W. (Hamon) Thompson, and Geraldine Morris. Paternal Uncles: Bobby (Barbara) Knox and David Andrews. Devoted cousins: Gregory Andrews, Christopher Owens and Michael S. Bell. Longtime friends: Jermaine Williams, Charlene Shipman, Frankie Woodson and Roderick Wright, along with a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.

Freddie was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Profite and Mirtha S. Williams; paternal grandparents, Ennis (Nancy) Knox and Annie Pearl Knox; paternal aunts, Janice Knox Andrews and Brenda Knox Owens; maternal uncles L.C. Walton, Jim (Lillian) Williams, Alvin Carter Jr., John Hooker and Luis H. Rodriguez, Sr.; maternal cousins, Zandra Rodriguez, John W. Ellison and Maurice Dorsey, Sr.

Though Freddie’s earthly presence is no longer with us, his memory will live on in our hearts. May he rest in eternal peace.
