Gerlena (Hall) Knight

Sister Gerlena Hall-Knight was born in Blue Springs, Alabama on June 09, 1928 to the late Benjamin and Janie Hall. She was a beloved wife, devoted mother, and devoted member of her community.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R. B. Knight, and her two sons, Vincent Knight and Winston Knight, both of Newark, New Jersey; her brothers, Marvin Hall, Benjamin Hall, Joel Hall, FO Hall, LB Hall and sisters, Pettrolla Patterson and Georgia Ann Nixon.

On the evening of May 4, 2026, this angel gained her wings and peacefully departed this life.

Sister Knight was a devoted Christian, who faithfully served at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, where she dedicated herself in many capacities. She was also a pillar in her community, known for her kindness, strength, and willingness to serve others.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories her devoted siblings, Mary (Emery) Kenzie of Syracuse, NY, Ruby Jackson of Clio, AL, and Curby (Bernice) Hall of Syracuse, NY; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Sister Knight will truly be missed.
