Gwendolyn Hope Bell was born on November 5, 1952, in Eufaula, AL to Georgia Mae Bell and John Ed “Wade” Bell.
She joined the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She attended T.V. McCoo High School and was a proud graduate of Eufaula High School. She moved from Alabama to Ohio, where she graduated from Cleveland Community College.
She worked as a Radiologist in Ohio, then moved to California to work at the Department of Veteran Affairs before eventually retiring after 25n years of service, to Montgomery, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Johnnie Pearl Bell and Alice Butler.
Gwen leaves to cherish her loving memory and bright smile to her daughter, Alyssa Johnson. She will be forever loved and cherished by her brothers, Winston (Sallie) Bell, Ezzard Charles (Deborah) Bell; and her sisters, Blessie J. Cleveland, Ruby Cassidy, and Barbara (Reginald) Early. Gwen was loved and will be greatly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
