Here lies Mr. Joseph Lee Richardson, born January 22, 1940 in Comer, Alabama, the son of the late Walter and Mary Lou Richardson.
He confessed his faith early in Christ and joined the New Hope Baptist Church. He later joined the Rocky Mount Baptist Church in Eufaula, AL.
In transition to Eufaula, AL, Joseph worked at the Reeves Peanut Mill. He also traveled to Florida, Cordell, GA, and other states to retrieve fruit to sell. He was an entrepreneur at heart. That’s what gave him the drive to start to garden and be his own boss. He was a farmer and had his fruit and vegetable stand on Highway 95 in Barbour County.
After failing health, Joseph became a resident of Crowne Health Rehabilitation. Joseph Lee Richardson, 85 years of age, and one of the last of thirteen siblings to be reunited with our Lord Jesus Christ.
Joeseph was preceded in death by his late wife, Elizabeth (Pitt) Richardson, while he leaves, to cherish his memory, three children, a daughter Christine Toney, and son-in-law Nick Toney, his sons, Carlos Richardson and Eddie Joe Richardson; grand and great granddaughters, Nikia Toney, Danilya (Demarcus) Trantham and Heaven Smith; By his recent devoted wife, Christine Turner Richardson, he leaves his memories with stepchildren, Cedric, Alicia, and Kayuana Turner, Crowne Health staff and patients, along with other friends and family.
