Julia Myrtice Jackson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was born on January 12, 1934, in Clio, Alabama. She departed this life peacefully at her home in Clayton, Alabama, on Monday, December 16, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Born to the late Bud Hall and Mattie Julia Jackson, Julia Myrtice spent her early years in Clio, AL. A woman of deep faith, she was an active member of St. Peter Baptist Church before joining Springhill Baptist Church with her late husband, Clarence Jackson, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage. Together, they built a loving home and became the proud parents of four children: Sarah Ann Jackson, Alice Ann Jackson-Ramey, Clarence Jackson, Jr, and Edward Jackson, who preceded her in death.
Julia Myrtice was a devoted housewife whose greatest joy came from caring for her family. She shared a close bond with her late brother, Bennie Frank Jackson, and his wife, Ruby. Her love and legacy will be cherished by her surviving family, including her daughter-in-law, Mae Jackson; three grandchildren, Julia Alexis Jackson, Nailah Jackson, and Ethan Shane Jackson; and her great-granddaughter, Julia Love Moody.
She is also fondly remembered by her extended family, including her brothers-in-law, Charles Jackson and Eddie “Honey” Jackson of Chicago, IL; and sisters-in-law, Annette Warren of Denver, CO, and Rose Johnson of Rockford, IL.
