L C Newsome

Mr. L. C. Newsome, BKA “Starman” “Elp”, was born on July 8, 1952 in Henry County, Alabama to Henry and Lillie Mae Newsome. 

Mr. L. C. joined Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.  For over forty years he was employed as a truck driver.  At one time he was self employed with his own trucking company.

He was united in holy matrimony to Rosa B. Newsome on July 3, 1971.  To this union five children were born, two of them preceded him in death, Willie C. Newsome and Kenneth Newsome. 

On August 4, 2022, he departed this earthly life at his residence.

Mr. L. C. Newsome leaves cherished memories to his loving wife of fifty-one years, Rosa B. Newsome of Abbeville, AL; three children, Rosetta Bulger (Dexter) of Abbeville, AL, Felicia Bryant of      Headland, AL, Christopher Newsome (Barbara) of Abbeville, AL; a special granddaughter, Delisha Newsome of Abbeville, AL; three brothers, Robert Newsome (Delorise) of Moore Haven, FL, Alester Newsome of Abbeville, AL, Raymond Newsome (Willie Mae) of Newville, AL; one sister, Kay Francis Culver (James) of Midland City, AL; ten grandchildren, one great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
