Lenora Richards Lewis “Linda”, the daughter of the late Tom “Candy” Richards and Mamie Edwards Richards, was born on February 9, 1963. Her sister, Mary Louise Hicks preceded her in death. Lenora began her new journey of life on August 8, 2025. She shared 38 years of matrimony with Jackie Lee Lewis and 42 years of loyalty and commitment.
Lenora was educated at both Henry County and Eufaula City School Systems. Upon completing 12th grade at Eufaula High School, she went to Albany Job Corp, where she received certifications and cosmetology license.
She joined Union Grove Baptist Church at an early age. Later she joined The New Birth Center, where she continued serving God. Lenora had many jobs where she developed several friendships, from Aladan, TNS Mills, Crowne Healthcare, The Gardens of Eufaula, Southern Plastics and D & J Plastics.
Her life may seem too short to loved ones, family and friends, but to those who life she touched, honored her presence. To know “Linda” means the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which she lived.
She was well known for unconditional love. My mom never met a stranger; known for being astoundingly nice and gentle. Her beautiful smile, fragile heart, and friendly personality brought so much joy to family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her devoted husband, Jackie Lee Lewis; two children, Jamal Lewis and Tawanna Lewis; grandchildren, Jamari Lewis and Melody Lewis; siblings, Eddie Richards, Joe Richards (Red), Eva Mae Harris, Mamie Mitchell (Charles), and Willie James “Smiley” Richards (Ruby); two very special nieces, Cynthia Oates (Derrick) and Stephanie Ware (Arndra); special friends, Tracy Smith and the late Debria Grant Stokes; a host of loved nieces, nephews, children of love, other relatives and many friends.
