Lille Sue Henderson was born May 8, 1951, in Eufaula, Alabama to the late Oree Johnson and Carrie Mae Henderson.
She was educated at The Baptist Academy, Van Buren Elementary, and T.V. McCoo High Schools. At an early age, she confessed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined the St. John AME Church.
Lillie was employed with Barbour County Hospital, Crown Health Care and in 2016, she retired from Eufaula City Schools after twenty-five years of service as a Child Nutrition Program (CNP) worker.
On March 16, 2023, God called her home to take her eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her grandmother who reared her, Mrs. Lille Bell Henderson; her two daughters, Cassandra and Tosha Henderson; a grandson, Timari Henderson; two brothers, William and Oscar Henderson; her lifetime partner, Theodore Hunter.
She loved gardening, cooking, and her family. She was a wonderful mother who helped raised her siblings and several nieces and nephews. She was always there whenever someone needed her. She was a well-loved member of the Bluff Community and will be terribly missed.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Shimiko Henderson of Eufaula, AL; one grandson, Emari Henderson of Eufaula, AL; six sisters, Linda Henderson Ramey of Dothan, AL, Glenda (Willie) Skipper, Mary Joyce Douglas-Hicks, Rosa Marie (Willie) Henderson, Lisa (David) Johnson, all of Eufaula, AL; Lora (Larry) Perry of Leeds, AL; two brothers, Oree (Doris) Henderson of Albuquerque, NM; Scott (Inez) Johnson of Eufaula, AL; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Henderson of Phenix City, AL, and Melba Yvette Henderson of Birmingham, AL; a special cousin, Esther Delois Ross of Tampa, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
