Mabel Michele Haynes was the first child born to the late Dorothy Davis Haynes Washington and the late Johnny Haynes on December 7, 1952 in a Harlem Hospital in New York, New York. She was later raised by her step father, the late Johnnie Washington.
Michele accepted Christ at an early age and joined Friendship Baptist Church in New York.
Michele was affectionately called Mickey my family and friends early in life. Mickey was educated in New York City Schools. Later she went on to attend Shaw University and the University of North Carolina, majoring in accounting and computer science.
Mickey moved from New York to North Carolina and later decided to relocate to Eufaula, Alabama, where she joined the Solid Rock Deliverance Center and remained faithful until her health failed her. She sung in the choir for numerous years and later joined the Praise Team. She worked several jobs sitting with the elderly, school crossing guard, nursing assistant, all while maintaining a home for her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Her hobbies included singing, gardening, taking care of the elderly and taking care of young children.
Mickey was preceded in death by both parents, step father, along with one brother, Johnny Haynes, Jr, and her only granddaughter, Shahr’ia Smith.
She leaves cherished memories to her daughter, Kristle Haynes of Rose Dale, NY; three grandsons, Kwinten Wiggins, Jason Smith and Kristopher Randall, all of Queens, NY; two sisters, Andrea Dean Haynes of Wilson, NC and Eva Marie Haynes Davis of North Carolina; one sister-in-law, Yvonne Haynes; uncle and aunt, Thomas (Barbara) Davis of Atlanta, GA; uncle, Henry Davis of Akron, OH; two special cousins, Willie Nell Thomas and Lillian Woods, both of Eufaula, AL; a very large host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
