Marlon Maurice Hicks was the only child of Ronald Walker and Lola A. Hicks born in Eufaula, Alabama.
He received Christ under the leadership of Rev. Vernon McCloud at New Mt. Zion AME Church, Eufaula, Alabama. He later joined the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. Walter E. Ellis in Montgomery, Alabama.
Marlon was a graduate of Eufaula High School and a graduate of Virginia College with a degree in Massage Therapy. He worked various jobs, and his last job being a shipping and receiving stocker with Winn-Dixie. He enjoyed great food, traveling, and family.
His memories will forever be cherished by his mom, Lola A. Hicks; his father, Ronald Walker; his grandmother, Ruthie Walker; his two brothers, Christopher Hicks and Cordarell(Dorothy) Hicks of Eufaula, AL; his stepfather, Chris Parks of Eufaula, AL; his aunt, Cynthia (James) Appling of Millbrook, AL; his uncle, Donald (Yatana) of Locust Groove, GA, and his aunt, Tasha Parks of Tampa, FL; three great aunts, Effie (Albert) Foster, Sarah Gamble and Rosa Mitchell; many cousins, Ilonka Walker (Maryland), Amber and Ava Appling (Tuscaloosa); a host of friends, Connie Jernigan, Dorothy Carruthers, Chydonna Tate, Mike Keys, Gerald Craddock, Orstinner Jones, Robert Norris, Terry (Angie) Streeter, Vincent Martin, Tina Knight and Randy George.
