“Maht” was born November 24, 1941 in Dothan, Alabama to the late John Deloach and Minnie Stanford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Jackson, Sr (Buddy); her daughters, Linda M. Jackson and Tommie C. Jackson; her brother, Rollie Stanford; her grandson, Thomas C. Jackson, III; her great-grandson, Dontavious Taylor, Jr (DJ).
“Maht” received education from Van Buren Elementary School and TV McCoo High School.
“Maht” accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age attending St. Luke AME Church. Later she became a faithful member of Zion Baptist Church.
“Maht” was a very loving, devoted, hardworking woman. Some of her jobs included the Shoe Factory, Traffic Director, Laundry Worker, etc. She finally retired from Kinderland Daycare, where she enjoyed cooking and helping look after the kids. But her work didn’t stop there. This was only the beginning of her free daycare, where she took care of grandkids and great-grand kids, which she really enjoyed until she was unable to do so.
It was on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 when Maht accepted God’s call and transitioned to her Heavenly home.
She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Thomas C. Jackson, Jr and Harry L. Jackson, both of Eufaula, AL; two sisters, Louise Mitchell and Beulah Lynn, both of Hartford, CT; grandchildren, Santresa (Michael) Perry of Eufaula, AL, Tedric Hill of Atlanta, GA, Dana Williams of Eufaula, AL, Omar (Shawnicka) Bacon of Tampa, FL; Fredrick Hill of Birmingham, AL, DeJour Knight of Abbeville, AL, Breland Jackson of Gainsville, FL, Tinesha Jackson of Tampa, FL, Miracle Jackson of Eufaula, AL; great-grandchildren, David Fuller, Jr, Devin Fuller, Mikayla Perry, Skylar Peterson, Brooklyn Hill, Laila Hill, Journee Hill, Olivia Bacon, Lilliana Knight, Scotland Peterson; great-great grandchildren, Kynlei and Aiden Fuller; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
