Mary Lee Toney Facen was born July 5, 1959 to the late Ervin Toney, Sr. and Rosie L. Toney in Comer, Alabama.
She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Galilee Baptist Church. She attended the local school systems and graduated from Rebecca Comer High School.
On Thursday, August 18, 2022, at UAB, Mary departed this earthly life to her eternal home.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Audra Clarke, Ola Toney, Rosie Toney, Clara Toney, and Leslie Simpson; and one brother, Earnest L. Toney.
Mary leaves to mourn her passing, husband, Joe Facen; three children, Curtis (Toccara) Toney, Michael Toney, and Valerie Toney; three step-children, Donald Facen, Carolyn (Michael) Thomas, and Maurice Turner; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren; three brothers, Ervin (Mary Ann) Toney, Jr, Roy (Josephine) Toney, and Nixon (Christine) Toney, all of Midway, AL; one sister, Minnie L. Toney of Albany, NY; one aunt, Earline Tyson of Clayton, AL; very close friend, Ola Taylor; two special neighbors, Ellis Glover, Sr. and Debbie Blakely; a close cousin, Tonya Cobb; a very special nephew, Damon Toney; two close nieces, JaQuisha Toney and Shikera Blakely; a very special cousin, Marilyn Toney; also a close sister-in-law, Margaret Berry; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
