Mrs. Mary Diggs White, daughter of the late Josie Austin Diggs and Clarence (Buddy) Diggs, Sr, was born September 3, 1948 in Barbour County, Alabama. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and joined Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church of Clayton, AL. She later united with The True Followers of Christ Missionary Baptist Church.
She graduated from T.V. McCoo High School in Eufaula, AL. She later received a degree in cosmetology in Chicago, IL.
Mae was joined in holy matrimony with David Cal White. Three children were born to this union. She also was a foster parent to many kids in Barbour County. She worked for many years at Southern Plastics and Wear Well.
Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Henry Diggs, Sr and a host of aunts and uncles preceded her in death. The Lord called our loved one home on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Medical Center Barbour.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Ms. Angela White of Tampa, FL, Mr. Eric (Bridgett) White of Rex, GA, Mrs. Latonji (Danny Jacobs) White of Union City, GA, Ms. Lashanda Burden of Eufaula, AL, Ms. Wendy White of Clayton, AL; god daughter, Mrs. Cassandra Hutchings and several foster children; siblings, Mrs. Annie (Eddie) Biggins of Thonotossa, FL, Mrs. Ruby J. Evans of Jacksonville, FL, Mrs. Patricia (Lamar) McBride of Eufaula, AL; Mr. Clarence (Carrie) Diggs of Eufaula, AL, Mrs. Vickie Hamilton, Mr. Jerome Warren and her adopted sister, Mrs. Shirley Lawson; her grandchildren, Diamond Flemming, Ronesheya McGinty, Jamal Whitehurst, Knowledge Napper, LaVonte Streater, Robert Hunter, Jr and great grandchildren, Quazavious Bryant Jr, Vashon Washington, Zashon Washington and Za -Lonie Washington; a special friend, Mrs. Willie Mae Liggions; many other relatives and friends.“May T
