Quille Bivens Obituary

The life and legacy of Quillie Mae Bivens, born November 1, 1933 in Clopton, Alabama. Quillie was the youngest daughter of Valdester and Equilla Richards. Born and raised m Clopton, Alabama, She was a mild mannered little girl, destined for greatness at an early age. Quillie attended Henry County Training school K-12. After entering a competition to compose the school's song, she won and added the title of Song Composer to her resume of great achievements. Her song was sung at Henry County Training School reunions for years to come. With her thirst for learning, Quillie would continue her studies from High School to Wayne College in Detroit to Tuskegee Institute to Trenton 
State College until achieving her Bachelor of Arts in Education and attaining her Teaching Certificate. Quillie went on to be a dedicated and committed educator for the Trenton Board of Education for 25 years. While she was a student at Tuskegee, Quillie reunited with and married her grade school sweetheart, Robert Bivens on February 7, 1959. Together, they relocated to Trenton, NJ to continue what would unfold to be 66 years of commitment and love to each other as husband and wife. Mr. And Mrs. Robert Bivens were known to affectionately call each other "Bae and Bae-Bae" and were the true embodiment of one flesh as described in Genesis 2:24 where it states "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh". Quillie Mae, Mrs. Robert, Bae Bae, Aunt Quillie, Mother Bivens LOVED her family and always made a point to say "there's nothing like family." Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, 
compassion, and unwavering faith in God. To know her is to know that "all is well", as she always reminded everyone in any situation one could possibly face. She is celebrated by many as an honorary Mother, Aunt, Sister, Friend, Encourager, Rock and more. And she is celebrated as faithful, devoted, loving, nurturing and caring wife to Mr. Robert Bivens for 66 years!
