Rosa Dean Danzey

Rosa Danzey was born on May 16th, 1968, to Bertha Mae Danzey and Roosevelt Kelley in Abbeville Alabama. She departed her life on April 24th, 2023.

At an early age she became a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. After attending Henry County Schools, she graduated from Abbeville High School in 1988. Following High School, she became a mother, giving birth to a daughter in 1991, followed by a son in 1992. Rosa was a dedicated mother and homemaker. It was her commitment to her children that defined her life. Her children remember her for her strength and persistence in overcoming any obstacle she encountered in life.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roosevelt Kelley; brother, Rodney Kelley; paternal grandparents, Leroy and Johnnie Bell Kelley; maternal grandparents, Robert and Merge Danzey; a special aunt, Venestine Danzey and special cousin, Willie Earl Danzey.

Rosa is survived by her mother, Bertha Mae Danzey; daughter, Deshandra Danzey and son, Johnny Danzey; grandchildren, Jayla Danzey, Xavier Williams, Victoria Manley, Giselle Ware, and Jailyn Danzey; brothers, Kent Danzey, Rodney Danzey, Ricky Johnson, Kendrick Danzey, and Rodell Kelley; sisters, Ellor (Larry) Newman, Mary J. Kelley, and Sherrie Kelley; aunts, Annie High, Rosie Lynn, Rosie Oliver, Cheryl Kelley, Bobbie Kelley, Ruby Kelley, Lucinda Williams, and Bobbie Turner; uncles, Robert Danzey and Carl Ray Danzey; a special cousin Eddie Danzey; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends..
