Deacon Samuel Corbett, Jr. was born April 22, 1942 in Barbour County to the late Samuel and Willie Mae Corbitt. He transitioned from this earthly life to his eternal home on August 15, 2022 at Crowne Health.
At an early age he joined Antioch Baptist Church, where he was a faithful member. He graduated from T.V. McCoo High School in 1960.
Samuel was married to his wonderful wife of fifty-eight years, Eurma J. Corbitt. He was employed with American Buildings for over thirty years.
He leaves cherished memories to his loving, devoted wife, Eurma Jean Corbitt; his seven children, Ann Corbitt, Jerome (Patricia) Corbitt, Lyndon Corbitt, Willie Mae (Anthony) Patrick, Dionnio Corbitt, Jackie (John) Burns, and Nakesha Corbitt (his special daughter); his siblings, James (Christine) Corbitt, Theodore (Jackie) Corbitt, Julius (Delois) Corbitt, Nettie (Norman) Smith; his sixteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, Samuel and Willie Mae Corbitt, Samuel was predeceased by one sister, Clara Mae Lewis.
