Shawn Petterson

Shawn Peterson, was born January 7, 1981, to Marvin Peterson and the late Edna Peterson.

He joined Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Eufaula,         Alabama at an early age.  He was employed at Abbeville Fiber where everyone knew and respected him and he was full of life and laughter.  He loved his job and did it with precision.  He was a man of his word and always on time. Here is where he met the love of his life, Shaenea Stanford-Peterson.

Shawn gained the nickname “Boss” through his love of cars and drag racing through the family made group “BYB Racing”.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his father, Marvin Peterson; a very caring and loving wife, Shaenea Stanford-Peterson; his children,  JaQuayzia Jernigan, LaKayla L. Kitchens, KiShawna S. Kitchens, Amiyah J. Kitchens, Akiyah A. Peterson, Shawn Peterson, Jr., Janeah S. Peterson; two nieces he raised as his own daughters, LaKendra J. Moore, Jaylah K. Brooks; three step-sons, Tre’Vonne “Tre”, Derrien “DJ” (Gabrelia) and their children, Cam (Jada) and their children; siblings, Renae Rhymes, Linda Peterson, Sharon Peterson, Vera        Freeman, Marvin Dewayne Peterson, Bobby Peterson, Samuel Peterson, Alvin Peterson, Ricky Peterson, and John W. Rhymes; aunts, Edierana Anderson, Mary       Peterson-Patton; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; he also had a special friend whom he spoke with  daily, Xavier Mack.
