Mr. Willie Floyd Danzey, 86, better known as “Buck, a gentle and loving spirit departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ on November 4, 2025.
Mr. Willie Floyd Danzey was born on March 4, 1939, to the late Floyd and Rosie L. Hart Danzey. He was educated in the Henry County Training School System. During his young adult life Mr. Danzey had the opportunity to play against Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in basketball in Dothan Al, and he played baseball for many years with the Abbeville Red Sox’s. After his education, he gained employment and worked with several companies, later becoming a local contractor helping all who needed him. Mr. Danzey lived a blessed life, he was a man of many talents, a “Jack of all trades.”
Mr. Willie Floyd Danzey married fifty-three years to the late Mary Ann Culver Danzey, and to this union ten children were born. Mr. Danzey was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was kind and soft-spoken and he will be missed by his loved-ones.
Mr. Willie Floyd Danzey leaves to cherish his memory four sons, Willie D. Danzey (Johnny), Cornelius Danzey (Cheryl), Stanley Danzey (Tonya), Joseph Danzey (Susie), and one son who preceded him in death, Darren L. Danzey (Zan); four daughters, Phyllis Danzey McWilliams (Ronald), Paula Danzey Wilborn, Pamela Danzey, Mamie Danzey, and one daughter who preceded him in death, Rosie E. Danzey; four brothers, Jimmy Danzey (Valarie), Jamie Danzey, two brothers preceded him in death, Gus Frank Danzey (Sitrenia), and Lloyd Danzey “Boodie”; five sisters, Ida Hogan (Ben), Sue Danzey Johnson (Phillip), Cindy Danzey and two sisters preceded him in death, Betty and Floydie May Danzey; twenty-nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, two special friend-relatives, Rodney Danzey and Doug Ward.
