Obituary

 Willie Fred Hawkins was born on January 21, 1950  in Eufaula, Alabama to the late Fred and Ollie Hawkins.  On June 16, 2023 at Noland Hospital in Dothan, Alabama, Willie transitioned from his earthly life to his eternal home. 

 

Growing up in Eufaula, Willie attended the Eufaula City Schools.  He enlisted into the US Army and was a Vietnam War Veteran.  After which he was employed with Chattahoochee Veneer Mill for forty plus years.

 

Willie loved fishing, cooking and enjoying his family, who all loved him dearly. 

 

Beautiful memories will forever be cherished by his devoted life partner, Laverne Johnson; his children, John (Catresa) Hawkins, Liashonda (Timothy) Davis, Stella Thornton, and step children, Aretha Galloway and D’Angela (Leroy) Bostick; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one sister, Mary (Roy) Grant; special nephews, Christopher Hawkins and Calvin Hawkins; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
